Educators & Early Care Professionals

We uplift the trusted adults who support young people.

Learning doesn’t happen in isolation—it’s made possible by educators and early care professionals.

These professionals build the relationships that help young people feel safe, seen, and ready to learn from the earliest years through adolescence. They need supportive resources, policies, and work environments to do so. Fair pay, professional development, positive work cultures, and clear career pathways help sustain and strengthen their careers.

When educators and early care professionals are equipped and well-prepared—and when their voices shape the systems they work within—they can do their best work across the communities they serve. Their impact extends far beyond the classroom.

We support strategies that build a strong workforce of educators and early care professionals equipped to meet the needs of young people and families.

Building a Thriving Education Workforce

We invest in educators and early care professionals who support young people from before birth through high school, strengthening their preparation, growth, and leadership.

The perinatal period is a critical window for both parents and children, where strong support can shape long-term outcomes. By investing in the caregiving workforce and perinatal professionals, we help families build skills, form nurturing relationships, and access culturally appropriate, research-based care.

Despite the significance of their work, many early educators and care workers face low wages and limited support, leading to high turnover across the field. Our partners ensure educator experience leads to better pay and advancement, while offering opportunities for continual education and training.

We invest in the preparation and growth of K–12 educators, supporting professional learning, career pathways, and practices grounded in the science of learning and development. We also support educators innovating in communities across the country, including those in underresourced areas, to strengthen and advance the field.
